Candid and Natural Portraiture of Animals
Need photos of your prize-winning sheep or iguana? Your beautiful betta fish or your colorful rooster? Want to capture your puppy before she grows up or your elderly kitty basking in the sun?
While people are often our focus, we admit to having a special love for photographing animals from dogs, fish and lizards to horses and other livestock, with or without their people! We are proud to be the Official Photographer of the Worcester County Riders Association and the featured winner of the www.EquineSite.com photo contest in July, 2008. A recent fish picture was featured as "Image of the Month" in the New Hampshire Estuaries Project newsletter and website.
With animals it is particularly important to take the time to observe how they interact with their environment and let them feel comfortable in the presence of a new human with a black box. We try to avoid flash as much as possible with livestock and horses to avoid spooking them. An animal photoshoot can not be rushed, and while we cannot guarantee that they will pose, we will make every effort to capture animals being their furry - or scaly, or slimy - best.
